Associate Prof. Minseok Kim

He was born in Seoul, Korea. He received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea, the M.E. and D.E. degrees in Division of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Yokohama National University (YNU), Japan in 1999, 2002, and 2005, respectively. In 2007, he was an Assistant Professor with the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, and a Visiting Scholar with the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 2010. In 2014, he joined the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Niigata University, Niigata, Japan, as an Associate Professor. His research interests include radio propagation channel measurement and modeling, radio imaging, radio based localization, body area network, antenna array signal processing, DSP implementation on FPGAs, and cognitive and software-defined radios (SDR).

Dr. Kim received the Young Researcher’s Encouragement Award of IEEE VTS Japan, the Telecommunications Advancement Foundation (TAF) Telecommunications System Technology Encourage Award, and IEICE Communications Society Best Tutorial Paper Award in 2003, 2014, and 2019, respectively. He is a senior member of IEEE and IEICE. He has served as an associate editor of IEICE Trans. Commun, and is currently serving as an associate editor of IEEE Access, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letter (AWPL), Hidawi Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing (WCMC), and MDPI Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks (JSAN) and, Telecommunications (Telecom).
